Terrence McGinnis was the product of genetic engineering by Project Cadmus director Amanda Waller, who saw there had to be a replacement for her once-adversary and now-ally Batman because the world needed a Batman to continue the fight for justice. After a run-in with Bruce, Terry persuaded the former hero to let him carry on the legacy. Equipped with a flying car and a state-of-the-art suit, McGinnis can lift up to a ton, see in the dark, is resistant to heat (electricity, water, vibration, and slightly to radiation), has dispensable Batarangs with a range of functions along with the occasional toys like smoke pellets, grapplers, glider wings (and thrusters on boots) to enable flight, and a cloaking device to enable almost-complete camouflage. There ain’t really much I hear that’s poppin’ off without us. Just as a reminder to myself… I’m more than, beyond, the new Batman as long as I’m in the house.
